The Global Assembly was a huge success! With over 50 Country Coordinators present from every corner of the world, we came together to connect, celebrate, and look ahead to 2025. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, you made this event truly special!

We kicked things off with a beautiful Menti (image below) to share your reflections on your community's year. Then came the presentation of the survey results about the CC experience in 2024 - the feedback was really positive this year, thanks to all of you who filled out the survey!

 🎉 Next up: celebrations

We reflected on the amazing milestones achieved by the international community, from impactful events to new countries opening up, diverse initiatives, and shiny new belts! We also took time to recognize the achievements of the Association’s salaried team – in mobilisation, product development, communication, collaborations, and more. 2024 was a year to remember.

🔮 Looking to the future

Ben Bertaux, your CC representative on the board, and Raja, our Director of Mobilisation, gave updates on what's to come in 2025. While the announcement of a reduced permanent team was tough to hear, the idea was to discuss it from a CC's perspective, focusing on how to navigate and co-create this next chapter together. Thank you to those present for sharing your solidarity with the team and it was inspiring to hear how ready you are to tackle the challenges ahead with positivity and teamwork!

Ben and Raja also presented what the new intellectual property agreement and tripartite contract mean for CCs, the new community-centred vision of the Association, and the journey to becoming truly international by design.

Up next, what’s a Global Assembly without a few energisers? We can all probably remember one in particular (if you know, you know 😉).

💡 Sharing inspiration

We then handed the mic to you! Several CCs shared certain large-scale initiatives that took place during 2024. The goal here was to inspire other CCs in more concrete terms - and, wow, you really hit this one out of the park. A big shoutout to Thibaut, RC in Asia, as well as our CCs in Brazil, Colombia, Spain, Hungary, Egypt, and Oman for your magnificent contributions! This was something you simply have to go back and rewatch.

In a fun twist, the International Coordinators awarded the first annual CoccoliTrophies to each region for their standout efforts. Congrats to all! Here are your prize winners:

👏 Regional Coordinator Focus

A special highlight of the GA was then the presentation of the new Regional Coordinator role by both the Mobilisation team and Thibaut and Lucile, our wonderful RCs for APAC and LATAM who have been at the heart of a successful 6-month pilot. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting initiative!

💫Closing remarks

We then wrapped up this amazing event by sharing good wishes for the year ahead. Despite the challenges 2025 will bring, the CCs present showed incredible support for the permanent team as well as clear appetite to work hand-in-hand with other CCs to navigate change and ensure our international community remains a central force in Climate Fresk’s mission going forwards.
