We have recently begun testing a new volunteer role at the international level: the Regional Coordinator (RC). This position will seek to capitalise on the aspiration, energy, and operational expertise of experienced members of the Country Coordinator community in order to achieve the following two objectives:

1. Strengthening the support for local communities in a specific region to cultivate the right conditions for the development of the Climate Fresk project, particularly in emerging and less mature communities

2. Supporting the facilitation and organisation of neighbouring Climate Fresk communities to create a sense of regional coordination and momentum, alongside the dedicated international coordinator(s)

We are currently testing this role in two regions through until the end of the year: in Asia and in Latin America. 

We have two wonderful blue belt freskers who have agreed to take on the role: Thibaut Meurgue-Guyard in Asia, who has been in post since May 2024; and Lucile de Castelbajac in Latin America, whose position was announced in June.

We want to say a big thank you to both Thibaut and Lucile for their enthusiasm and commitment to the global development of Climate Fresk! If this pilot is successful, we hope to expand the roll out to the rest of the world as soon as possible.
