The third pillar of the CC role: acting as the primary link between the Climate Fresk NGO and communities of Freskers around the world, involves two parts:
Keeping us informed about Fresk-related activities in your community
Taking part in CC events, meetings, and calls to action as much as you can
From Fresk initiatives and community milestones to your organisational roadblocks and challenges, we need to be kept informed and up to date so that we can support you, offer you and your community guidance and solutions, and celebrate your achievements with the rest of the international community.
We therefore ask you to maintain close contact with your International Coordinator (IC) from the team in Paris and to keep a regular, open, and honest flow of communication between each other. This page explains how.
Once every two months, your IC will invite you to schedule a country meeting together. Come to your meeting prepared to:
Share the fantastic Fresk initiatives you’ve both witnessed and been a part of organising over the last few months in your country (with photos if possible!)
Discuss what’s planned during the coming months in your community
Respond to calls to action from the NGO
Work towards resolving any problems that may be hindering you in your role
Ask for help! Seek the NGO’s support, financially or operationally, with one of your initiatives. Read more here.
Brainstorm strategies for growing your community, whether that be organising more Fresks, increasing engagement from existing community members, or growing the coordinator team in your country
Another way to tell us about inspiring Fresk initiatives in your country is to fill out the table below directly.
Many of you are great at sending us detailed emails about Fresk activities in your country. This is great! But if you haven't got the time, quickly fill in the table below with a description of the event and a link to any photos folder and social media post that you've put together.
Every two months and in between your 1-on-1 country meetings, we host regional meetings in every continent around the world.
They offer the opportunity to connect with other members of the CC community, to celebrate the achievements of your communities, and to work together to tackle shared challenges and develop regional synergies.
We understand that coordinating a meeting that covers several time zones means that not everyone will be available to attend every time. Nevertheless, we appreciate any planning in advance that means you can make it to the meeting and contribute to building this important regional dynamic!

One of your missions as CC is to help ensure that the Climate Fresk project in your country has strong foundations for the future.
This is why we want to help you build a strong organisational team at the heart of your community. We know that nothing good lasts forever and that, one day, you may want to step down as CC. That’s why we ask you to be honest and open with us about how you're feeling in your role, whether you’re thriving or whether you think you're nearing the end of your tenure as Country Coordinator.
If you've been a Country Coordinator for one year or more, please fill out the One-Year Check-in form.
Your feedback is important to us and this check-in also gives you the chance to reflect on your year as a Country Coordinator.
You can access the form here.
It can still be beneficial sometimes to allow fresh faces to infuse your community with a new surge of energy. If you feel that this time has come, don’t hesitate to speak to your IC and discuss the prospect of being offboarded.
Identifying another member of the community to take your place, especially if you’re the only CC in your country
Completing a feedback form on your experience as a CC
Being removed from your country’s inbox and other online signposts
Receiving an enormous thank you from the Climate Fresk team for your deep involvement in the project
But the journey doesn’t have to end there! Depending on the reason for your offboarding, we’d love for you to consider remaining a part of your community in some shape or form. Whether it be as a Fresker or in taking up a more back-seat support role in your country, your experiences and expertise are invaluable, something we hope to help you pass onto to the next generation of Freskers in your country!
